Clicks & Cars
Clicks’n’Cars is an audiovisual tour de force, conceived and produced by Foton founders Peter Van Hoesen and Hans De Man. Building upon Van Hoesen’s fascination with surround sound and De Man’s civil engineering research work at Brussels Free University they conceived a surround sound installation using four car frames as resonating bodies, i.e. speakers.
The installation was first produced for Capture at Les Halles De Schaerbeek during the Brusssels 2000 European Capital of Culture event.
Capture later became Clicks’n’cars and travelled to Gent (2002, Vooruit Arts Center) and Montreal (2003, Elektra festival).
